Recognition for exemplary work: EPO distinguished by ASSOCHAM


On 26th April, 2017, the World Intellectual Property Day, the Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM) organized the India Innovates Conclave. The event was the occasion to present awards for recognition of the work of various actors in the intellectual property domain in India.


Nicholas Körnig, Administrator for International Cooperation at the European Patent Office (EPO), had been invited within this frame, and was distinguished by Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Union Railway Minister, for his exemplary work in promoting IPR in India, alongside Rajiv Aggarwal, Joint Secretary at Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Dr. A.K. Garg, Director at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Pratibha Singh, Senior Advocate at the Delhi High Court, Praveen Anand, Managing Partner Anand & Anand and Chandni Raina, Professor at the Centre for Worl Trade Organisation Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).

Several ICT start-ups were also distinguished by Ericsson India, the Award Presenting Partner.
